Famous Nigerian superstar Blaqbonez recently hit a major milestone on the global stage with his latest single "Chanel" featuring Asake. The song which was released on the 21st of May, 2026 has emerged as one of the biggest Afrobeats records of the year, hitting No. 3 on Billboard's U.S. Afrobeats Songs Chart while charting in an impressive 97 countries worldwide.
This collaboration was highly anticipated by music fans and enthusiasts and it went on to gather more than 10.2 million streams on Spotify in less than two weeks, making it the fastest song by a Nigerian rapper to reach the milestone. Not just that, this song peaked at No. 10 on the Global Shazam Top Songs Chart and made history as the first record by a Nigerian rapper to simultaneously reach No. 1 across six streaming platforms.
"Chanel" has dominated charts around the world, reaching No.1 on Apple Music and Spotify in Nigeria and topping Apple Music in Ghana. The song also charted in several other countries like Ireland, Canada, United Arab Emirates, The Netherlands and several other countries.
The track was accompanied by a music video which amassed more than 2 million views on YouTube, gaining more momentum and attention.
